Irísono-Cilindros de cera (2011)


Wax cylinders were the first media used to record and play sounds or music. In this new sound work of artist Javier Iriso, he recovered seven Hungarian folk songs sung by farmers and collected by Zoltán Kodály on wax cylinders from 1905-1914, a work that passes through the appropriation, making their sounds of more than 100 years creating a new context for the same sound with little change the font.
